Money-Related Websites

Personal Capital

I love Personal Capital!  It is a great financial aggregator for getting a holistic view of your finances.  They provide free financial software similar to but way more detailed and geared towards investing. Personal Capital is much more detailed than Mint though.  You can track your net worth, your cash flow, your portfolio, your investments, and more.  Check out my review of Personal Capital if you are not sure whether or not to be using it. Personal Capital is free.

M1 Finance

M1 Finance provides an investing platform to make investing very affordable and easy.  You set an asset allocation that you would like either by sector or self-picked stocks and then M1 takes care of all the trading for you.  You just have to put your money in and M1 Finance does the rest for a low fee of 0.25% or 0.15% if over $100,000 invested.

Lending Club

Lending Club allows investors, like you and me, to invest in loans for borrowers.  We can select which loans based on risk and can earn monthly returns from the borrowers’ payments.  As an investor, we can earn returns between 5% and 9%, and potentially much, much more depending on the “risk” of the loan.  Lending Club is easy to use compared to many investing platforms.

Chase Sapphire Preferred

The Chase Sapphire Preferred card is simply the best travel card out there for travel hacking. It has a 50,000 point sign up bonus of the most valuable Ultimate Rewards points. These points can be transferred 1:1 to most airlines and hotels for free stays and flights around the world. Check out the Chase Sapphire Preferred if you are getting into travel hacking. It’s free!

Money Saving Websites

Ebates provides an easy way to receive cash back on all of your online purchases.  They are connected to most stores, so it is well worth your time to check the site or use the Ebates browser plugin before making any purchases.  Plus, they even have in-store cash back these days!  Ebates makes a commission by referring you to the store you are shopping at, and they give a portion of their commission back to you to say thanks.  You get your savings quarterly.  We all spend too much online, might as well use Ebates and get some money back!

Sign up for Swagbucks where you can earn free gift cards online for using it as your search engine.  Swagbucks also is a shopping portal like Ebates, allows you to take surveys, watch videos, and try promotions. If you don’t want to use Ebates check out Swagbucks for some easy cash doing the things you are already doing.

NextWorth lets you get rid of that old computer and all those old phones that you have been hoarding. I had a stack of old electronics that got recycled, without knowing that I could have sold them to NextWorth and gotten paid for my old “useless” electronics. Check NextWorth out the next time you are getting rid of your junk electronics

Pinecone Research

Pinecone Research is a legitimate survey company. They pay you for each survey you complete and they also occasionally send free products to review! Click here to sign up for Pinecone Research.

Vindale Research

Vindale Research is another survey company that I highly recommend for making some side income. They also pay you for each survey you complete. Check out Vindale Research here.

Digital Ocean

Digital Ocean is where Atypical Life is hosted now. If you want full unfettered control of everything behind the scenes on your blog and server then this is the place to be. Digital Ocean is where developers and computer programmers come to setup and test new platforms. It even hosts many corporate websites. Be prepared to service your site yourself, but it gives you full control which I love. Digital Ocean has great tutorials to get you off and running. Board Booster

I have been using Board Booster for several months now and I highly recommend it. It allows you to design schedules for your Pinterest pins and view the analytics that correspond so that you can understand how your pins are affecting blog viewership.  I like Board Booster because it has taken a complex situation that requires tons of time and reduced it to less than 1hr per week.
